Ashley Johndro, Esq
Drawing upon her experience as both a practicing attorney and legal recruiter, Ashley serves as a trusted advisor to attorneys and law firms navigating important hiring and career decisions. She is known for her thoughtful approach, candid guidance, deep market knowledge, and commitment to helping clients make informed decisions aligned with their long-term goals.
Since beginning her recruiting career in 2017, Ashley has partnered with attorneys and law firms across the country on hundreds of successful placements spanning a broad range of practice areas and seniority levels, from associates and counsel to partners and practice groups. Her approach is highly relationship-driven, emphasizing long-term success over short-term transactions. Whether advising an attorney considering a career move or assisting a law firm with a strategic hire, Ashley is committed to providing honest perspective, personalized guidance, and exceptional advocacy throughout the process.
Prior to founding BarNone Recruiting, Ashley practiced law at Latham & Watkins LLP. She later worked in criminal appellate defense, representing indigent clients navigating the criminal justice system. These experiences continue to inform her recruiting practice, providing valuable insight into the realities of legal careers, law firm cultures, and the challenges attorneys face at every stage of their professional journeys.
Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law, where she served as Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review and externed for the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
